Pick-up is in the lobby of the All Seasons Center, 770 7th St. NE, Sioux Center, IA, on Friday, May 2, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 3, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. *You may bring your bike to set up on Friday night during packet pick-up.
Most athletes will bring a beach towel, water bottle, goggles, swim cap, helmet, dry clothes or anything else they feel is needed for the race. *Pictures of transition area can be found under the volunteer section of our website.
Yes, however, if you choose to use a snorkel or similar swimming aid during the swim portion of the triathlon, you will not be eligible for any awards, including age group awards. Athletes selecting to use an aid of this nature must adhere to all of the rules, timing regulations, and policies of the Siouxperman Triathlon. The use of fins, paddles, and propulsion devices is strictly prohibited.
Yes, helmets are required on the bike portion of the race.
Yes, toe clips are allowed.
The transition area is where you switch from swim to bike and then bike to run. Athletes do wear their swim gear to bike in but if you'd like, there are locker rooms to change after the swim. However, you must use the same transition route if you choose to change and your time does not stop if you choose to change.
Absolutely! Having a cheering section is encouraged! Friends/family can cheer along the bike and run routes and the finish line which is by the All Seasons Center.
Yes! Upon completion of the race, finishers will receive a medal.
